Director and Licensed Clinical and Consulting Psychologist, PSY6992. Dr.
Storrs' training included programs of behavioral intervention, ego
psychology and humanistic psychology. He has special interest in child and
adolescent psychotherapy, and adaptive family communication. Areas of
expertise include helping children's adjustment to father-absence and
increasing children's motivation to achieve. He works with individual
adults on a wide variety of concerns, and enjoys the practice of couple's
psychotherapy. He is also skilled in helping others manage problem drinking
or substance use towards successful recovery.
Dr. Storrs' education includes a BA in Psychology and Philosophy from
Indiana University, an MA from George Mason University and a PhD from United
States International University in Clinical Psychology. He has been
practicing Clinical Psychology in San Diego since 1978 and in the
Scripps-Miramar area since California licensing in 1981. He is an active
member of the American and San Diego Psychological Associations.
